Who we are
ADAShield Pro (getadashield.com and the ADAShield Android app) is operated by Elev8 AI Solutions & Services LLC, a Florida company (“we”, “us”). Questions about this policy or your information go to support@elev8ai.org.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and password. We store the password only as a one-way hash (bcrypt); we cannot read it.
- Optional phone number, if you turn on text-message alerts.
- Websites you add and the results of scanning them: accessibility issues, scores, reports, accessibility documents (such as VPATs and scan records), comments, and your notification settings.
- Billing records: your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and your plan. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Agency accounts: the names and email addresses of team members an agency owner adds, and the client sites the agency manages.
- Support messages you send to support@elev8ai.org.
Free scans and public reports
Anyone can run a free scan of a public website without an account. When a free scan finishes, we publish a public report for that website at getadashield.com/report/<domain>, which search engines may index. A public report contains only information about the website: its address, accessibility score, issue counts, and the most common issues found. It does not include who ran the scan or any personal information about you.
If you own a website and want its public report removed, email support@elev8ai.org from an address at that domain and we will remove it.
How we use it
- To run the service: scan websites, generate fixes and reports, and monitor sites on your plan.
- To send you account email (sign-in, password resets, scan results, alerts) and, if you turned them on, text-message alerts.
- To take payments and manage your subscription.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, including limiting repeated requests.
- To answer your support requests.
AI processing
Some features use artificial intelligence. To write code fixes, describe images (alt text), and review page content, we send the relevant parts of the scanned web page, such as HTML snippets and images, to Anthropic’s Claude models. To caption audio or video, we send the media file to a speech-to-text provider (AssemblyAI, or OpenAI as a backup). These providers process the content to return a result to us. We send the content of the website being scanned, not your account details.
Who else processes your information
We share information only with the services that run ADAShield Pro:
- Vercel (hosting) and our managed PostgreSQL database provider (data storage)
- Stripe (payments)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Twilio (text-message alerts, only if you turn them on)
- Anthropic, AssemblyAI, and OpenAI (AI features described above)
We do not sell or rent your information and do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.
Cookies and local storage
We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. The scan assistant saves your conversation in your browser’s local storage so it survives a page refresh; you can clear it with the “Start over” button or by clearing this site’s data. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
Like every website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages. We use your IP address briefly, in memory, to limit repeated requests.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS with HSTS). Passwords are hashed. Access to account data requires signing in, and each account can see only its own sites and scans.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information and scan history while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, sites, scans, issues, reports, and notification settings. We keep billing records that tax and payment rules require us to keep, and Stripe keeps its own records under Stripe’s privacy policy.
Your choices and rights
- See and update your sites and notification settings in your dashboard.
- Delete your account yourself under Dashboard → Account. See how account deletion works.
- Ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion by emailing support@elev8ai.org from your account’s email address. We respond within 30 days.
- Turn off email or text alerts in your notification settings at any time.
Children
ADAShield Pro is a business service for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will email account holders. See also our Terms of Service.
